For this work I made fake and/or fictional, vaguely ‚folkloristic‘ objects and photographed them in ethnographical/open air museums in a pseudo-ancient way. The photographs were then inserted into fake-vintage ‚ethnographical‘ publications. What followed were staged ‚library snapshots‘ adding to the supposed credibility of the publications and the layers of alleged authenticity behind them. Printed on vinyl banners like advertisements, the invisible artificiality of the photographs is amplified.
