We all have to eat, from cradle to grave. We learn how to count, we unlearn how to count. How to trace our name or the names of our children on a dusty coat of a book, or to write it in the sand, on a shoreline, with our toe. Our teeth grow and fall out twice. In between we learn and forget a lot. Certain memories never let go of us, others distinctively do. What is the bass line of our learning and forgetting about how to tie shoelaces or to call a friend a ‘friend’?
